Scuba diving & snorkeling

Papua new Guinea provides exceptional world-class diving. The overwhelming marine biodiversity combines with incredibly healthy reefs make a huge impression even on experienced divers. The cherry on top are the mind blowing WW2 relics including submarines, aircrafts and ship wrecks. The reefs are diveable all year with an average surface sea temperature varies between 25 and 30 degrees, while visibility from 10 to 40 meters is a standard. Madang, Tufi, Rabaul, Kavieng, Milne and Kimbe Bays have it all - ship and plane wrecks, superb reefs, soft and hard corals, colorful fish, dizzying drop-offs and abundant marine life. There is probably no other capital in the world offering as many dive sites as Port Moresby. Local dive centres are highly professional but consider bringing your own gear.
